My name is Chris Dunford and I have always been fascinated by animals and plants and the way they work with the environment. Geology too is a major interest as it shapes and dictates the nature of an ecosystem.
My passion for nature photography has only taken off since 2011 when I bought my first DSLR, a Canon. Presently I am using the Canon R7 and the Canon 7D mkII. Of course I now have a desire to go all over the World again and take high quality photographs of the interesting places I have previously visited.
I am particularly fond of the Tropics and have travelled in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia and Borneo.
I have also visited the Canadian Rockies and seen the truly awe inspiring scenery there.
If viewing my photos gives you even a tenth of the pleasure that I had in taking them, then it's been well worth the effort I made learning Photoshop to edit them and Dreamweaver to construct this Website.
Some of the photos I will admit are not quite top quality, but I've included them in the galleries for the sake of completeness. In particular I remember that leopards are incredibly difficult to see and often don't hang around long enough for a decent photograph, but I'd hate to leave visitors with the impression that there are none about by not including them. Perhaps the fact that some photos are way less than perfect will give you a more realistic idea of what to expect on a an average four or five day safari.
My love of dogs is illustrated in the fact that a couple of them have made guest appearances in some of my woodland pictures.
After many arduous years of toil I am now a full time Gentleman of Leisure. My home is in Northamptonshire, England.
